Scope and acceptance
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern use of proxyindex.org and its reports, articles, rankings, and public data exports. ProxyIndex publishes the site under the public brand "Proxy Index."
By accessing or using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site. Proxy Index publishes information and benchmark evidence; it does not provide proxy access or sell the third-party proxy services discussed on the site.
Benchmark limitations
Benchmark results describe observations made under the methodology, sample, target mix, geography, and time window identified in the applicable publication. Results can change as products, networks, samples, and test conditions change.
Scores, ranks, grades, estimates, and commentary are informational decision inputs, not guarantees, legal, financial, security, or other professional advice, or substitutes for your own testing and due diligence.
No implied provider endorsement or affiliation
A provider's inclusion does not imply that it participated in, approved, sponsored, or endorsed the publication. A provider response may correct an error or add context but cannot directly change a measurement, score, rank, or placement.
Provider names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification, comparison, commentary, and reporting.
Using public content and exports
Unless a publication or export states a different license, ProxyIndex permits you to access, download, analyze, quote, link to, and create analyses from public reports and exports for lawful research, journalism, procurement, and commercial analysis, including integrations, subject to these Terms.
This permission does not grant access to nonpublic evidence, credentials, endpoints, source code, or administrative systems. A separate long-term license for machine-readable exports has not yet been approved.
- Preserve applicable source links, publication dates, methodology references, provenance, and material caveats.
- Do not present Proxy Index material as your own or imply that ProxyIndex endorses a product, campaign, derived ranking, or decision.
- Do not resell or white-label a substantially unchanged report or export.
- Do not use Proxy Index names, logos, visual identity, or other marks as if they were yours or as if ProxyIndex sponsored your use.
- Facts and third-party materials remain subject to applicable law and their owners' rights.
Acceptable use
- Do not disrupt or overload the site, introduce malicious code, or use unreasonable automated request rates.
- Do not bypass access, robots, rate, security, or publication controls.
- Do not attempt to obtain nonpublic credentials, endpoint details, raw evidence, or private systems.
- Do not impersonate ProxyIndex, remove provenance, hide material caveats, or present a corrected or historical result as current.
- Do not use the site or its content in violation of law or to facilitate fraud, harassment, unauthorized access, evasion, abuse, or interference with another service.
- Automated access should use published exports and reasonable request rates whenever those exports can answer the question.
Questions, challenges, and submissions
If ProxyIndex publishes an approved contact or correction channel and you submit a question, challenge, or supporting evidence, you represent that you may provide it. You grant ProxyIndex a limited right to review, reproduce internally, verify, and use the submission as necessary to investigate and respond.
ProxyIndex will not publish private reporter details merely because they were included in a submission. A submission does not require ProxyIndex to change or publish anything; verified errors follow the corrections policy. Do not submit credentials, endpoints, customer data, payment information, or other secrets.
Third-party services
Proxy Index links to provider and source websites for context. Third-party products, pricing, availability, terms, security, and privacy practices are controlled by those third parties. Any transaction with a provider is between you and that provider.
ProxyIndex is not responsible for a third party's service, statements, availability, or handling of your information.
Corrections and availability
ProxyIndex may correct, supersede, retire, restrict, or remove content when evidence, security, privacy, or legal needs require it. Material benchmark corrections create a new immutable revision and keep the historical artifact readable when it is safe and lawful to do so.
The site may be unavailable, incomplete, or changed without notice. ProxyIndex does not promise that every provider, product, geography, or test condition is covered.
Warranty disclaimer
The site and public exports are provided on an "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ProxyIndex disclaims implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. ProxyIndex does not warrant that the site is error-free, complete, continuously available, or suitable for your specific use.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ProxyIndex is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, lost business, procurement decisions, or third-party claims arising from use of the site or reliance on its content.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes and general terms
ProxyIndex may update these Terms as the publication, licensing posture, or legal requirements change. A material revision will receive a new effective date. Continued use after revised Terms take effect means you accept the revision.
If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect and the affected provision applies to the greatest lawful extent. These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the current agreement about use of the public site. No waiver is effective merely because ProxyIndex does not enforce a provision immediately.
Governing-law, venue, formal notice, and business-address terms are intentionally omitted until the owner confirms the legal jurisdiction and notice details.
