Publisher and accountability
Proxy Index is the reader-facing publication brand. ProxyIndex is the publisher name. Aleks is the approved pseudonymous author byline; it is not presented as that person's legal name.
The named profile covers only the role and work the publication can substantiate. It does not imply unverified degrees, certifications, employers, location, or years of experience.
Funding and commercial relationships
Any provider sponsorship, paid placement, affiliate arrangement, gift, credit, or advance access that affects a publication must be disclosed where readers encounter the affected result.
Editorial independence
Provider responses cannot directly change a measurement, score, rank, or placement. Verified errors follow the public correction process; operational changes belong in a later test window. Commercial relationships and advance-access practices do not override the benchmark contract.
Who runs the work
The Proxy Index testing desk operates the measurement system and reviews evidence boundaries. Signed buyer-facing interpretation uses the Aleks author byline under the source-controlled authorship rule. Automated benchmark reports and human-approved provider reviews have different sign-off paths; benchmark-only artifacts remain institutional rather than borrowing a personal byline.
Aleks is a pseudonym, disclosed as such so readers can distinguish editorial accountability from legal identity. ProxyIndex remains the accountable publisher named on the site.
What we don't do
Provider reviews are published only inside the benchmark framework, scored against the same public methodology as every other proxy. There are no standalone endorsements or unsupported "best of" lists. Any sponsored placement, affiliate link, gift, or referral arrangement must be labeled and cannot alter a measurement or rank.
